Dyes and reserve

Dyes

Dyes for fabric painting in cold batik technique are liquid and water-based.There is a wide range of manufacturers and great variety of colors available on the market. For a beginner it is more convenient to purchase a set of paints with primary colors straight away.In the process of drawing you can mix colors and get desired shades and colors. There are dyes for silk only or universal, which will be suitable for any fabric.Carefully review the application guide before you buy dyes! All fabric dyes manufacturers specify what materials this paint is suitable for, whether or not it is resistant to water washout, and required fixing method.

Reserve

The reserve is a characteristic feature of the cold batik technique. The reserve is semi-liquid adhesive substance which outlines the dyed area on the fabric.
There is a transparent reserve, which can then be washed off with warm water and different colors contours for fabric dyeing, and one which becomes a part of the picture and is fixed (made washout resistant) along with dyes.
